First United Pentecostal Church Greetings in Jesus’ name! I, Pastor James M. Jackson, would like to firsthand thank you for visiting our website and would like to extend an invitation to come and visit our church! We believe that our church should represent how heaven is going to look like. We are a church of diversity and everyone is accepted and welcomed here. Our congregation is composed of people of various races, ethnic origins, ages, and social backgrounds. We believe that everyone is important! Our purpose is todirect and point people who have trouble among themselves and no directions in their life to Jesus Christ the Chief Shepherd. Our church is composed of several different ministries to help people with needs and to cope with every day life issues. We hope that you will come and feel Jesus and be a part of our church family! God Bless! Pastor James M. Jackson Pastor First UPC Short Autobiography on Pastor James M. Jackson Pastor Jackson joined the United States Air Force in October 1981. He served 15 years in the Air Force as a Law Enforcement Military Working Dog Handler. He also attained the rank of Master Sergeant before being medically discharged because of an unfortunate injury with his knee. While serving in the Air Force, Pastor Jackson attended college and received two Associate Degrees, an Associate in Criminal Justice and an Associate in Instructional Technology. Pastor Jackson met his wife, Rosie O. Jackson, while stationed in the Republic of the Philippines and they married in June, 1984. He has two phenomenal daughters, Hannah and Ruth Jackson. Pastor Jackson was baptized in Jesus’ name and received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost while stationed in the Philippines in July, 1983. Pastor Jackson received his calling to preach the Gospel in the year of 1985. He was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas in July, 1987. Throughout the duration of his Pentecostal Ministry, Pastor Jackson has fulfilled several roles including the following: Sunday School Teacher, Usher, Choir member, Outreach Director, Youth Pastor, Assistant Pastor and Associate Pastor. In addition, he continued to fulfill several positions at his local church before being promoted by God to be the Pastor of the First United Pentecostal Church on February 4, 2006. He has also held positions at the Section level and the District level of the Texas and South Texas District. In the Texas District he was the Home Missions Section Director for four years, and in the South Texas District he was the Home Missions Director for three and half years as well as Co-Chairman and Chairman on several committees.
